ConFuzzled is not just about the programmed events, it is about meeting new friends and spending good times together with the old ones. The Barceló Hinckley Island Hotel retains the quirkiness of the former 2010 venue, offering lots of nice quaint little corners for quiet chats, but also comes with ample space to accommodate all your socialising needs.
The Triumph and Piazza Bars
The Triumph Bar (above) is aptly named owing to its motorbike theming. It offers a trendy space for having a drink with friends or just soaking up the atmosphere, and has a host of draught beers, bottled ales, wines and spirits.
Next to this, the Piazza (right) is a light and airy coffee and wine bar with a selection of different drinks available, and is complete with comfortable seating and friendly staff. With large bay windows leading out onto a patio area, and skylight, it makes for a very bright, open socialising area.
Rotunda
At the heart of the venue is the Rotunda. A spacious, light and welcoming atrium with a very luxury cruise ship feel, if offers seating and round tables perfect for socialising, relaxing or just looking up at the sky.
Contained separately from the core function spaces, it is a very tranquil area, offering a sizable business center for attendees to access the Internet*. All the bedrooms branch off from the Rotunda, ensuring minimal sound disturbances from the main convention space. All bedrooms are serviceable by a central bank of elevators and stair well, ensuring complete disabled access.
Outside
The Barceló’s patio area leads directly off of the Piazza bar, and offers outside seating for those wishing to take in a breeze whilst enjoying a cup of coffee, or, as the only dedicated smoking area, a cigarette break. A small walk around the corner, and you will be welcomed by the Lake and its water feature, and potentially the view of some wildlife in the water reeds jutting from the water surface. A very picturesque setting.
Leisure Club
The Barceló’s Health Spa facilities are available to all residential attendees and includes non-exclusive access to a heated pool, spa, sauna, steam rooms, solarium and modern gym equipment. With dedicated changing rooms and lockers available for your belongings, you will be forgiven if you feel the urge to want to break away from the convention and spend some time simmering in the spa, or just cooling off in the pool.
