As a purpose built convention hotel, this year, the Barceló Hinckley Island Hotel will be providing ConFuzzled with more function space than has ever been available before. With an astonishing 24 rooms available for use, here is a quick look around at what to expect…

The Stage Room — ‘The Paris Suite’

The core of any convention is the main stage.  ConFuzzled’s new stage home will be hosted in The Barceló’s largest room, The Paris Suite. With seating for over 400 people and a built in bar, the Paris Suite will host the big key note events including the Pub Quiz, Banner Brawl, Furrylimpics, the Pawpet Show and Art Auction.

The Dealers Den and Art Show — ’The London Suite’

This year will see an increased size in both the Dealers Den and the Art Show as they take up residence in the second largest room on offer at The Barceló Hinkely Island Hotel, The London Suite.

The room will be split into two,  the artists den comprising of up to 45 tables for traders, and a self contained art show for artists to present their works for bidding on, in preparation for the Live Auction.

The Nightclub — ‘The Lakeside Suite’

Since 2010, ConFuzzled has been privileged to offer its attendees a dedicated nightclub space for you to shake your tail and blast your ear drums. This tradition will proudly be carried forward in the convention’s new home, as the Barceló’s Lakeside Suite offers a self contained space for DJ and disco set up. With its own large bar, dance floor, and the expertise of ConFuzzled’s sound and lighting rig team, this room will be the hive of the convention’s night life, offering tunes and merriment until the early hours of the morning.

Other Rooms

For all our other panels, smaller events, workshops and convention facilities such as the Photoshoot and Fursuit Lounge, the Barceló provides us with twenty separate conference rooms to utilise.  Each of these rooms comes equipped with controllable air conditioning and generous amounts of space and lighting.
