Metrolink is the name for the Manchester light railway (tram) network and our recommended method for getting to the convention if you have arrived by public transport.
This guide assumes you have arrived at Manchester Piccadilly train station.
If you have arrived at Manchester Victoria Station, We would recommend to get the tram into town and change at Piccadilly Gardens.

Step 1
First of all, look for the escalators near platform 10, and head down them.
Step 2
At the bottom of the escalators, turn left and head down the escalator again.
Step 3
Buy your ticket from the machine on the left of the door.
Choose your ticket in the following steps:
G-Mex, Adult Single. (Should be 60p)
Then insert the appropriate amount of money.
Please be aware that not having a ticket carries a £10 to £20 instant fine.
Step 4
Board the Altrincham or Eccles tram, not any other tram you may see.
You need to alight at the 4th stop, at the "G-Mex". You'll see the Distinctive G-Mex itself on the right of the tram, and pictured below.
Step 5
When you have arrived at the g-mex, cross over the tracks (with the massive hilton skyscraper infront of you) and head to your left.
You will see a sign like this one. Follow it.
Step 6
You should now be heading down this path. There is a lift and also stairs at the end. Please be aware that late at night you might find the lift has been closed for the evening! :
Step 7
Head forwards and you'll see the roman fort. You need to walk down the road infront of them (see step 8) and you'll come to a road with the arena on your left.
Step 8
You'll see the Manchester Y infront of you and barges. Head down the steps and walk to the opposite side of the canal.
Step 9
Head down the path and stop before you come to the arch, walk down the path to your right, you'll the venue is to your left on the other side of the arches. Follow the signs...
