Art Show

    Registration is open

And we've made it easier. See below

    What is the Art Show?

This is for the artists amongst you (but anyone is welcome).

We have some of the best furry artists attending ConFuzzled and we'll have space available in a secure room where you can show off your artwork, be it drawn, digital, photographic or sculpted.

You can even put some up for auction if you like, either for charity or for profit.

How big is the Art Show room?

As with last years con, the Art Show will be sharing a room with the Dealer's Den.

This year, the art show will comprise of three tables (each 1200mm x 600mm). However, these tables will be shared between the art show and items which are being put up for auction, so space is limited.

How do I get a place?

Anyone who would like a table will first need to register for the convention, then send an email to register your interest to dealersdenandart (at) confuzzled.org.uk . This email will need to include the following information:

    Nickname

    Registration Number

    Space Required

Any items you'll be selling in the auction

Any items you'll be bringing for display purposes only

As well as any special requirements such as requirement of a plug socket or additional lighting, etc.

Finally, we would request that, if you have a table reserved at the Dealer's Den, you display any art for the art show that belongs to you on your dealer table (unless it's for the charity auction). This is to save space on the main art show tables. However, if there is space available on the day, we will allow you to display it on the main table.

    Opening Hours

    Friday: Setup Only

    Saturday: 14:30-18:30

    Sunday: 14:30-18:30

Then the Art Auction Sunday evening in the main stage area.

    Monday: Closed

These hours may be altered in the future.

    Is there a deadline?

Yes, all art show registrations are subject to availability and are on a first come, first served basis. If full capacity is not reached, we will close Art Show registration on 1st April 2009.

    Pricing

We've decided that there's going to be no charge other than a charitable donation of £10, which will be shared between our two chosen charities, the Badger Trust- and Manchester & Cheshire Dogs' Home- via ourselves at the convention.

    Rules & Hints

The Art Show/Auction and the entire convention is adults only, so adult oriented materials may be sold, on the basis that our artists apply common sense.

Furthermore, the categories listed here are off-limits.

We like artists to display their own characters and creations. If you use other people's characters, you should ask for the approval of the creator; it's the polite thing to do. Please avoid the use of characters created by large companies. Again, we do not exclude that content, since it is allowed in the context of parodies or derivative artistic work, but you need to make sure that you don't violate any trademark or copyright laws.

Regardless of rules, the Art Show managers have the final say in what is allowed and what's not. Note that despite of all those rules, the Eurofurence Art Show allows a lot of explicit, adult, or even fetish artwork. To avoid conflicts about objectionable and offensive artwork, the managers reserve the right to refuse displaying single pieces of art.
