The Dealer's Den is now full

But there is a waiting list available

See below for details on how to apply

    What is the Dealer's Den?

So, maybe you're wondering what's happening with the Dealers Den. Maybe you want to take a table or want to know what it's all about?

Well, It wouldn't be a proper con if we didn't offer you the chance to buy nice things and commission some great artists now, would it?

We have some of the best furry artists attending ConFuzzled 2009.

We also have a table where you can buy ConFuzzled memorabilia as well as a charity table selling everything from plushies to badges.

All of the money made from sales on the charity table and a proportion of the money made on the ConFuzzled table goes to ConFuzzled 2009's chosen charities - The Badger Trust- and Manchester & Cheshire Dogs' Home-

How big is the Dealer's Den?

As with last year's con, the Dealer's Den will be sharing a room with the Art Show.

Our current layout plan enables us to accomodate up to 10 dealers per day, with 7 single tables and 3 double tables (2 rows of 3 tables).

We are willing for 2 dealers to share 1 double table (dependant on availability), as this will then increase the possible capacity. Please tell us in your email (see below) if you would like to do this, and who with.

How many days does the Dealer's Den run?

The Dealer's Den runs on both the Saturday and the Sunday of the con weekend.

However, this year dealers have the option of running a table on either one or both of the days*. This is to enable them to attend other events and to enable us to offer the possibility of hosting more individual dealers in the limited amount of space that we have at the Youth Hostel.

How do I get a place?

Anyone who would like a table will first need to register for the convention, then send an email to register your interest to dealersdenandart (at) confuzzled.org.uk .

Please include the following information in the email:

    Nickname

    Registration number

    Estimated amount of space required

    What merchandise you'll be selling

What days you would like a table in the Dealer's Den

As well as any special requirements such as requirement of a plug socket or additional lighting, etc.

    Opening Hours

    Friday: Setup Only

    Saturday: 14:30-18:30

    Sunday: 14:30-18:30

    Monday: Closed

These hours may be altered in future.

    Is there a deadline?

Yes, all dealer registrations are subject to availability and are on a first come, first served basis. If full capacity is not reached, we will close dealer registration on the 1st April 2009.

    Pricing

We've decided that there's going to be no charge other than a mandatory charitable donation of £5 per day (payable on the day, before you set up) to our two chosen charities, The Badger Trust- and Manchester & Cheshire Dogs' Home- via ourselves at the convention.

    Rules & Hints

We'd prefer you to sell furry merchandise, but general related stuff like anime is fine.

The Dealer's Den and the entire convention is adults only, so adult oriented materials may be sold, on the basis that our dealers apply common sense.

Furthermore, the categories listed here are off-limits.

We also do not permit the sale of items such as sex toys and fetish items or anything else that the staff in the Dealer's Den deem to be inappropriate.

And finally, we would like to draw attention to the fact that, due to YHA rulings, it is forbidden to sell open food or beverages in the dealers den.

*Please note that, due to the limited amount of space at the Youth hostel, Dealer's are responsible for the security of their merchandise on days that they aren't registered for the Dealer's Den (except for items being auctioned). Every bedroom has cupboards which can be locked, though you will need to bring your own padlock.
